De-TECH AI Courses Now Available Online: Explore Data Science and Automated Machine Learning

The De-TECH Project is making its AI courses available online through the AutoML MOOC platform, offering students, researchers, and university staff the opportunity to strengthen their skills in data science and machine learning.

These courses provide practical knowledge to understand data-driven approaches, develop machine learning models, and explore advanced AI techniques. Participants who successfully complete the courses will receive a certificate.

• Data Science MOOC

Build a solid foundation in data science, from raw data to validated insights. This course covers the essential stages of the data science lifecycle, including sampling and probability, data cleaning, data visualization, statistical modelling, regression, classification, and core machine learning concepts.

Participants will learn how to develop and evaluate models using appropriate validation methods, performance metrics, and bias-variance analysis. Designed for learners from different academic and professional backgrounds, the course provides practical skills to work confidently with data and apply statistical and machine learning techniques to real-world challenges.

• AutoML MOOC

Discover how Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) can simplify and improve the development of machine learning models. This course introduces techniques such as hyperparameter optimisation, neural architecture search, and ensembling, exploring their applications across traditional machine learning and deep learning.

Participants will learn how to select appropriate AutoML approaches for different problems, work with data types including tabular, image, and time series data, and integrate these techniques into machine learning pipelines.
