Hannover Welcomes the De-TECH Final Event 2026: Official Agenda Now Available
The De-TECH consortium is pleased to announce the publication of the official agenda for the De-TECH Final Event 2026, which will take place on 6–7 July 2026 in Hannover, Germany.
The event will bring together students, researchers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, and innovation experts from across Europe for two days of competition, collaboration, and networking focused on deep-tech innovation and entrepreneurship.
Hosted by Leibniz University Hannover, the final event marks the culmination of the 2026 edition of the Deep Tech European Venture Builder Competition and the De-TECH Tech Challenge: Agriculture & Food Edition, two flagship initiatives designed to strengthen entrepreneurial skills and accelerate the development of innovative deep-tech solutions among university communities.
The detailed agenda is as follows:
A Programme Designed to Inspire Innovation
The event will begin on 6 July with a pre-event programme aimed at fostering connections among participants and introducing them to Hannover’s innovation ecosystem.
After the official welcome at the historic Leibniz House, participants will be able to choose between two parallel activities: a guided visit to Leibniz University Hannover, including the renowned Einstein Elevator research facility, or a dedicated pitch rehearsal session with a professional pitch trainer. The day will continue with a guided tour of Hannover’s city centre and conclude with an informal networking evening at the famous Schützenfest Hannover, one of the city’s most iconic traditions.
Competition and Demo Day
The main event will take place on 7 July at the Leibniz House, where finalists of both De-TECH programmes will showcase the results of months of intensive work.
The day will open with registration, networking opportunities, and welcome remarks introducing the competing teams and members of the Advisory Board and Jury. Participants will then attend a keynote session delivered by a leading figure in deep-tech innovation before moving into the competition activities.
Throughout the day, finalist teams in the Deep Tech European Venture Builder Competition will pitch their ventures to an expert jury across three dedicated sessions. At the same time, participants in the Agriculture & Food Tech Challenge will take part in workshop sessions focused on developing and refining their solutions to real-world industry challenges.
Following the final presentations and jury deliberations, the event will culminate in an Awards Ceremony, where the winning teams will be announced and certificates and prizes will be presented. The programme will conclude with an evening reception, providing participants, partners, and stakeholders with further opportunities to exchange ideas and explore future collaborations.
Bringing Together Europe’s Emerging Deep-Tech Talent
The De-TECH Final Event represents much more than a competition. It serves as a meeting point for universities, industry partners, innovation ecosystems, and aspiring entrepreneurs working together to transform research and technological knowledge into impactful solutions.
By combining venture development, challenge-based learning, mentoring, and international collaboration, the event reflects the core mission of the De-TECH project: strengthening deep-tech entrepreneurship within European higher education and fostering innovation capable of addressing major societal and industrial challenges.
With the agenda now available, participants can begin preparing for what promises to be an exciting and inspiring finale in Hannover.
We look forward to welcoming the De-TECH community to Germany this July.
